The Valley: Jasmine Goode’s Girlfriend Melissa Marie Starred on Another Reality Show
Bravo’s latest show, The Valley, is full of familiar faces. Of course, there are the former Vanderpump Rules people, but they aren’t the only ones with reality TV experience. If you’re part of Bachelor Nation, you probably recognized Jasmine Goode from Season 21 of The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. In Season 1, Episode 3 of The Valley, we met Jasmine’s girlfriend Melissa Marie, and it turns out that she has a history with reality TV, too.
Who is Melissa Marie?
Bravo’s The Daily Dish shared all of the details on Jasmine’s girlfriend of three years. She and Jasmine are both from the same hometown of Maplewood, New Jersey. When Melissa moved to Los Angeles in 2020, the two reconnected.
“She graduated with my brother. So it’s like when she moved out here, it was kind of like a comfort, like a piece of home,” Jasmine explained on The Valley.
Before her Bravo debut, Melissa competed on Netflix’s Squid Game: The Challenge. She was contestant 361 playing for $4.56 million. Spoiler alert: she didn’t win.
In her Squid Game bio, Netflix described her as a 30-year-old adrenaline seeker. Her time on the show gave her exactly what she was looking for. On Instagram, she explained how the Red Light, Green Light challenge was particularly difficult. She’s a former lacrosse player, so she was ready for the physical challenge. Still, it turned out to be way more intense than she thought.
“We used to condition in the snow in the winter, running around, and this was by far the hardest physical thing I’ve ever had to do,” Melissa recalled.
After filming the show, other Squid Game players complained about the conditions. Some criticized the production calling it “inhumane” and a “warzone.” The Valley might not be much better, but at least they don’t have to play Red Light, Green Light.
