Valerie Bertinelli is grateful for her son's "forever person."

The Food Network star shared a loving message to her son Wolfgang Van Halen’s wife Andraia Allsop for her birthday on Friday.

“I am just over the moon that you are Wolfie’s forever person (and an impressive budding cat lady 😻),” the Golden Globe-winning actress wrote in the caption.

Bertinelli paired the kind words with a photo of her daughter-in-law smiling and cuddling with three cats.

“Love you! 💜,” Bertinelli added to the caption.

Wolfgang, 32 — who is Bertinelli's only child with her ex husband, the late Eddie Van Halen — and Allsop, 33, tied the knot in October. Wolfgang's birthday falls just one day after Allsop's.

Bertinelli and Allsop have a close relationship and Bertinelli has told PEOPLE that she “really understands” Wolfgang.

"It brings me such a nice sense of peace knowing Wolfie and Andraia have each other for the rest of their lives," Bertinelli said. "They really ‘get’ one another. Their humor is very similar, they like similar things, they know how to give each other space and they’re just so comfortable together."

Bertinelli and the newlyweds walked the 96th Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday, all coordinating in sleek black-and-white looks. Wolfgang took the stage during the ceremony to perform Barbie's "I'm Just Ken."

While speaking with PEOPLE on the carpet, Bertinelli expressed her pride for her son.

"I'm excited! I'm here to support Wolfie, the Barbie movie, because Wolfie's all throughout it. He did a lot of work with [soundtrack producer] Mark [Ronson] for two days, and I'm really proud of him so I want to support him," she gushed. "And the movie was kickass, so we're just going to say that."

Bertinelli revealed earlier this week that she’s currently dating again since finalizing her divorce from her husband of 10 years, Tom Vitale, in November 2022. When talking to USA TODAY, she said that her dynamic with the new guy is “unlike any relationship that I’ve ever experienced with a man.”

“He was not on my radar. I was going to die with my six cats and my dog and be incredibly happy doing it," she added. "So this came out of left field, and I’m grateful it did. He’s very special.”
