Valerie Bertinelli is blowing a chef’s kiss to her beloved cooking show.

Bertinelli, host of Food Network’s “Valerie's Home Cooking,” revealed Saturday that the show is being canceled after 14 seasons. The first episode of Season 14 aired Sunday.

It has been one of the huge joys in my life to bring you this sweet little show,” Bertinelli wrote on Instagram alongside a video of herself announcing the cancellation. “I wish it wasn’t so, but the final season of Valerie‘s Home Cooking start airing tomorrow.”

She added: “We loved making every single episode for you, and I will really, really miss it. Thank you so much for watching.”

Bertinelli, who also served as an executive producer on the cooking series, said the reasoning behind the show’s cancellation remains unclear to her.

"Food Network canceled us last summer, I have no idea why. And I didn't say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind," Bertinelli said in the video. "But they have not. So, this is it. This is the final season."

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Food Network for comment.

"Valerie's Home Cooking," which premiered in August 2015, followed the "One Day at a Time" alum as she prepared home-cooked meals for her family and friends. The series earned Bertinelli a Daytime Emmy in 2019 for outstanding culinary host and was nominated for outstanding culinary series at the 2022 Daytime Emmys.

Bertinelli said making the show "was such a dream come true."

"Every single part of it brought me so much joy," Bertinelli said. "I loved the crew, I loved everybody in production. They loved making this show for you. So, I hope that you enjoy this final season because we made every single episode with love for all of you."

In addition to "Valerie’s Home Cooking," Bertinelli also hosts the Food Network reality-competition series "Kids Baking Championship" alongside Duff Goldman.
