Uzo Aduba is showing love to her filmmaker husband Robert Sweeting with a sweet celebratory post on Instagram celebrating their three-year wedding anniversary.

"Our Anniversary. This is from our Traditional Nigerian Wedding Ceremony(Igba Nkwu)," the Orange Is the New Black actress shared with her 2.2 million Instagram followers on Tuesday.

"This day meant so much to us," she continued, before addressing her husband. "You have made my entire life better, more full. I am so thankful our souls found each other. I’ve loved sharing every step of this journey with you, @robertsweetinglife and cannot wait to experience new chapters, next chapters, new pathways with you."

For the ceremony, the bride's new husband Sweeting wore an Agbada, traditionally worn by Nigerian men over their clothes for formal events, decorated with lions on the lapel and topped off with a Nigerian fila hat.

"I love you so much," Aduba finished her post. "Thank you also for loving me. So much. Happy Anniversary. Your Wife, Uzo 📸: @peytonrbyford."

The actress, who was born in Boston to parents from Nigeria, first announced her marriage to the filmmaker in 2021, one year after they secretly tied the knot in New York, via an Instagram post featuring a photo of her and Sweeting on their wedding day and a quote from the hit 1989 rom-com When Harry Met Sally.

Although the couple tends to keep their relationship out of the public eye, they occasionally share sweet posts about each other on social media and step out in support of each other at events.

"The happy couple is over the moon about their growing family and are excited to be parents," an insider shared with PEOPLE at the time.
