Uzo Aduba Buys L.A. Home From YouTuber Safiya Nygaard for $3.1 Million
Well-known YouTuber Safiya Nygaard is moving on from her six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home in L.A.’s Studio City, and she has found quite a special buyer for the place. Emmy Award–winning actor Uzo Aduba, who is best known for her role as Crazy Eyes on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, purchased the home for $3.1 million, Dirt reports.
Despite its location in a prominent West Coast neighborhood, the house, painted blue with a crisp white accent trim, has a traditional East Coast look. At the same time, there’s still that California touch, as the long stairway leading up to the front door is lined with a dreamy row of palm trees.
The property is a total of 5,028 square feet and spans three full floors, one of which is a two-car garage situated on the lowest level of the home. You better believe that, as a social media star, Nygaard opted for a spot that lets in plenty of natural lighting. The space couldn’t be brighter and includes fresh white walls, ceilings, cabinets, and more, making it the perfect backdrop for Nygaard’s videos.
The home is decked out with a variety of next-level common spaces such as a movie theater, wine cellar, and a marble bathroom. Even though the property doesn’t have the biggest backyard, there’s still a rectangular pool and a covered loggia made for summer entertaining.
According to records, Nygaard bought this home in late 2019, and in that short time, she made a $200,000 profit from this sale. The YouTube sensation apparently didn’t make any home renovations, so it’ll be interesting to see how Aduba ends up making it her own.
