A Utah couple is dead days after a car crash in Arizona, which took place while they traveled to share news of their pregnancy with family.

Chloe Stott, 24, was killed in the crash last Wednesday as she and her husband Parker Stott traveled to Arizona to visit family, according to Utah news outlets KUTV and KSL-TV, which cited Arizona Department of Public Safety officials.

The crash occurred around 8:20 p.m. on southbound U.S. 93 in Wickenburg, Arizona on Dec. 20., when the couple's vehicle collided head-on with a truck, according to reports.

Chloe, a passenger in the Toyota truck, was killed on impact, according to reports. Her husband Parker was transported to a hospital and died days later, according to Facebook and Instagram posts shared by the couple's family members Saturday on accounts created to update loved ones about the incident.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials confirmed with KUTV that Chloe was pregnant with a baby boy at the time of her death. Scout Whiteley, a friend of the couple's and a colleague of Chloe's at the boutique spa she owned in Lindon, Utah, told the outlet Saturday the couple were planning to announce their pregnancy to family as a Christmas surprise. Whiteley also told KSL-TV that Chloe Stott was roughly 10 weeks pregnant.

Friends of the couple established a GoFundMe fundraiser on Parker's behalf Friday before the announcement of his death; as of Monday morning, the page had received more than $200,000 from some 4,400 donations.

"They had just found out they were pregnant with a baby and were so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones over Christmas," a description of the fundraiser reads. "At 8:30pm Wednesday evening they were involved in a tragic car accident that took the life of Chloe and their precious baby boy."

Parker had undergone three surgeries following Wednesday's crash when surgeons told the couple's family that his "injuries were even more extensive than what we were already aware of and the outlook was extremely bleak," according to the family's social media posts announcing his death. Parker died at 6:47 p.m. Saturday, according to the post.

Chloe and Parker owned Clover Skin Bar, a small business in Lindon, that opened roughly one-and-a-half years ago. The business has shared on its website and Instagram page that it plans to reopen this Wednesday and is offering a "forever facial" service, for which proceeds will go toward the GoFundMe fundraiser.

"We know they are in a better place and get to be together," the couple's family wrote on social media as they announced Parker's death. "We know they will be watching over us, cheering us all on until we get to reunite with them again."
