Usher Marries Longtime Partner, Jenn, In Intimate Las Vegas Ceremony
Usher is now a married man!
The King of R&B, 45, and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, 40, tied the knot on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 11) in an intimate ceremony at the Terrace Gazebo in Las Vegas.
According to the marriage certificate, his mother, Jonnetta Patton, served as the couple’s witness. The pair wed just days after they obtained their marriage license.
After the big game, the newlyweds were seen rocking their wedding bands.
“Congratulations to the Newlyweds! What a great game and Usher’s performance was phenomenal! We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife. As much as we love, love, this is the couple’s news to share any further details on,” said Melody Willis-Williams, president of Vegas Weddings, in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
Earlier in the week, the crooner opened up to the outlet about his relationship with Goicoechea, who is the mother of his two youngest children, Sovereign Bo and Sire Castrello.
“Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are,” Ursher shared.
He continued, “We’ve obviously made a commitment to life together because of our children. It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married. We already did here. You know what I’m saying? And we’re going to be in each other’s lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. That’s beautiful. Our children. But not because of that. I really do feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect.”
They welcomed their daughter, Sovereign, in September 2020, and son Sire in September 2021. Usher shares two sons, Usher V a.k.a. Cinco and Naviyd, with first wife Tamika Foster.
