UScellular makes donation to Pro Musica in Joplin

Dec. 18—UScellular is donating needed items to Pro Musica, the company announced last week.

Through its "Gift of Connection" program, UScellular is donating $1,000 worth of equipment to help the organization maintain its current programs and expand its audience as it works to drive interest and appreciation for live classical music in the Joplin community.

The organization received an Apple iPad, Square Reader, Epson Workforce Pro WF-4820 wireless inkjet color printer, ink cartridges and five music stands.

"Pro Musica does so much for the Joplin community, so we want to help them deliver the much-needed support they provide with a donation of equipment to further its mission," Aaron Blair, store manager for UScellular in Joplin, said in a statement.

The donation is one of 40 to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of UScellular's 40th anniversary.

Since 2009, UScellular has donated more than $35 million in money, technology resources and in other ways to nonprofit organizations across the country.
