If you're looking for something to do in Pueblo, check out our list of events, which kicks off on Friday with the Steel City Music Showcase and continues through April 25, with the film peremiere of "Mirasol, Looking at the Sun."

Friday, April 12

Steel City Music Showcase in downtown Pueblo

LaBella Union Plaza, The Gold Dust Saloon, The Sacred Bean and Fuel & Iron Food Hall | 6-10 p.m. April 12 and again April 13 | A total of 34 bands will perform a wide range of music including rock, folk, country, hip hop, indie, singer/songwriter, blues, reggae and more. The event will include vendors plus food and drink. Tickets will be sold for $20 for one day or $35 for both days of the festival. Writer's workshop and Country dance at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | 7-9 p.m. writer's workshop, 7-10 p.m. country dance | All writers welcome for the host of id workshop which costs $30. The Dawsen Kouba Trio will provide music for country dance night which costs $5. Teens 15 and younger must have adult supervision after 9 p.m.

Sumi-e Painting Workshop at BloBack Gallery

Pueblo EV Ride & Drive at Main Street Parking Lot

128 S. Main St. | 1-3 p.m. | Drive Electric Colorado will host the event for those who are curious about electric vehicle ownership. A variety of EV vehicles can be test driven in a no-pressure environment.

Film Screening at Pueblo Heritage Museum

201 W. B St. |1:30 p.m. | The film Cenicero, Co Circa 1856 will be screened.

Spring Mocktail Class and Karaoke at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | mocktail class 2-3:30 p.m.,karaoke 7-11 p.m. | Learn basic mixing techniques and practice your skills in class with 2 mocktail and beverage recipes. Cost is $40 and includes supplies. Sing karaoke with KJs Treble and Harmony during the free event.

Monday, April 15

Meet the Madams of Central Colorado at Rawlings Library

Fourth gloor event space, 100 E. Abriendo Ave. | 6-7:30 p.m. | Buckle up for historic tales filled with scandalous secrets and side-splitting sass with the portrayals of Buena Vista’s most notorious madams, Cockeyed Liz and Belle Brown. Due to content the event is best for ages 14 and older.

131 Spring St. | 6 p.m. | Live music by The Black Cats with Harpoon the Whale. Cost is $10. Open to all ages.

Tuesday, April 16

Light of Hope Luncheon at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. | The Court Appointed Special Advocates luncheon is being held in honor of April's Child Abuse Prevention Month. USA Boxing International Invitational at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | noon session and 6 p.m. session daily April 16-19, with final session at noon April 20 | Tournaments will feature five qualified USA Olympic fighters as well as the top fighters from 17 countries. All sessions, including semi-finals and finals, are free to the public. This will be the last event before Team USA heads to the Paris 2024 Olympics. Fight schedules and fighter info will be announced at www.usaboxing.org.

Battle of Ludlow program at Pueblo Heritage Museum

Blippi, The Wonderful World Tour at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | 6 p.m. | See Blippi and special guest Meekah as they discover what makes different cities unique and special. There will be monster trucks, excavators and garbage trucks galore. Buell Communications Center, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. | 7 p.m. April 18 and April 19, and again at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 20 | The Mountainfilm on Tour film festival is back after a three-year hiatus featuring 35 culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary short films. Each session features eight to 10 films of 3 to 26 minutes in length. The Saturday matinee is a family feature event. Girls Mic'd Up at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe | Doors open at 6 p.m., program at 7 p.m. | The event empowers Pueblo women to share their stories. A silent acution, drinks and light appetizers are included. Because some stories may be triggering, the event is for ages 16 and older. One high-school junior will receive a $500 scholarship. Advance cost is $25 per person or $45 for two tickets at jlofpueblo.org/girls-micd-up. Tickets purchased at the door are $30.

Earth Day Celebration at Pueblo Community College

Student Center, Fortino Ballroom, 900 W. Orman Ave. | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | The event will feature environmental information and tips for sustainable living and gardening. Live music, a drum circle from noon-2 p.m. and informative documentaries on the benefits of renewable energy will be included. The event is free to the public.

Pueblo has Talent Semifinals at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | 2 p.m. | The top 50 contestants compete for a spot in the finals and just 25 acts will be selected to move on in this "America's Got Talent' themed contest. Cost is $15 to attend. Finals will be held April 27.

Americana/Blues concert at Brues Ale House

120 Riverwalk Place | 7-10 p.m. | Juno award winner Ray Bonneville of Austin, Texas, will share the stage with Seth Walker of Asheville, North Carolina. Each artist will play his own set as well as perform as a duo. After two decades working as a studio musician, playing rowdy rooms with blues bands, and living hard, Bonneville’s lifetime of hard-won experience coalesced into an urge to write his own music. His latest record is,"On The Blind Side." Walker is a prolific contemporary Americana artists who has released 10 albums, broken into the Top 20 of the Americana Radio Charts and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart. Pueblo Puzzle-Off at Fuel & Iron Food Hall

200 S. Union Ave. | 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. solo competition, 1:30-4 p.m. team competition | Pueblo Puzzleworks is set to host the speed-puzzling contest. Solo competitiors will work a 300-piece puzzle. Teams of two will work a $500-piece puzzle. Entry fee is $15 for individuals or $25 for teams and includes a free soft drink voucher. Prizes totalling $500 will be awarded. Register in advance at Pueblo Puzzleworks, 204 S. Union Ave.

Pueblo Stamp Club Meeting at Rawlings Library

100 E. Abriendo Ave., Thurston Meeting Room | 1-3 p.m. | The topic is stamps of Australia.  The meeting is free and open to the public.  All ages are welcome. Donations of U.S. and foreign stamps for free distribution at club meetings are welcome.

Box Turtles of Colorado at Pueblo West Library

298 S. Joe Martinez Blvd. | 6:30-8 p.m. | Celebrate Earth Day by learning about a Colorado native species, the box turtle. Colorado State University Pueblo Professor Franziska Sandmeier discusses their habitat, behavior and current conservation efforts.

SoCo YoGo at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 4-7 p.m. | Presented by Pueblo Health Department in honor of its new app launch. Festivities will include a dunk tank and more. Free and open to all ages.
