“We are SO excited to finally announce that we (big) three are taking back Tuesdays and bringing #ThisIsUs back by way of a rewatch podcast called #ThatWasUs, starting May 14th!” the actors announced in a post on the podcast’s Instagram earlier in April.

Though the Pearsons’ story wrapped in 2022, “our stories continue on,” the caption adds. “For six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays brought us together with tissues in one hand and pantry wine in the other. Why? Because we see ourselves in the fabric of their lives. We may or may not have cried at least once every episode, but let’s just say our tears served as emotional catharsis…

“Sibling rivalry, body issues, marriage, divorce, adoption, love, blending families, terminal illness, death, miscarriage, racism, and substance abuse are right here in our backyard, just as they were for the Pearsons. So what we’d like to do is really dig in and dig deep. We’ll break down each episode, bring on some very special guests, have the tough conversations and maybe do some collective healing along the way??”

This Is Us, created by Dan Fogelman, aired from 2016 to 2022 on NBC. During its six seasons, it took home 39 Emmy nominations and four wins, one of which (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series) went to Brown for his portrayal of Randall Pearson. (Don’t get us started on how little love the Emmys showed Moore during her wide-ranging, masterclass run as Randall, Kate and Kevin’s mother, Rebecca.)

Sullivan, meanwhile, often provided the show’s comic relief in the role of Toby, Kate’s joke-cracking husband. The cast also included Milo Ventimiglia as Rebecca’s husband, Jack; Susan Kelechi Watson as Randall’s wife, Beth; Chrissy Metz as Kate; Justin Hartley as Kate and Randall’s brother, Kevin; Jon Huertas as Rebecca’s second husband, Miguel; and Ron Cephas Jones as Randall’s biological father, William.

The series’ finale, which aired in May 2022, nabbed 6 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. TVLine readers at the time gave it an average grade of B. (Read a full recap.)
