Ventimiglia Will Take a Walk On the Wild Side

Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack Pearson on the NBC show "This Is Us," is set to play daredevil Evel Knievel in a new USA Network show.Ventimiglia made the casting announcement Thursday, adding that he's also going to executive-produce the show, a limited series called, appropriately enough, "Evel."

"Evel" is described on TV Line as:

"An exhilarating portrait of a complex man living the American dream, juggling meteoric celebrity and raising a family — and facing the very real probability that his next jump, across the Snake River Canyon, 'will kill him.'"

No Reason To Panic

Production on the series is set to start next year.

It's true that actors on "This Is Us" might have more flexibility than those on other shows, since it only usually runs for 18 episodes. So this "Evel" project might be just the thing for Ventimiglia.

Fans shouldn't be too worried that "This Is Us" will be down a man, at least for Season 4.
