Here Are All The Theaters Where the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailer Will Play on Friday

UPDATE III: In what we hope will be our last update, we now have the full list of 30 theaters in which the new Star Wars teaser trailer will be played this coming weekend. (Note: There are two theaters in Canada, but none in New Jersey).

If you live near any of these theaters, consider yourself lucky:

UPDATE II: J.J. Abrams’ production company, Bad Robot, tweeted a hand-written note from the filmmaker, announcing that the teaser will run 88 seconds and be seen in “select theaters.”

UPDATE: The Star Wars: The Force Awakens announcement has been removed from the Regal site and replaced with a photo of Mon Mothma from Return of the Jedi and a graphic of her famously dire line: “Many Bothans died to bring us this information.” The site then says to check back later for a list of participating Regal locations. Perhaps someone disturbed the Force a little early?

ORIGINAL STORY: Star Wars fans, get your camping gear ready now.

Regal Cinemas just announced that nine of its theaters will get the exclusive first run of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer starting on Friday, Nov. 28. The trailer will run in front of all movies from Nov. 28 through Nov. 30.

The trailer for the insanely anticipated J.J. Abrams-directed sequel will run at the following theaters:

Irvine, CA Edwards Irvine Spectrum 22 & IMAX
San Diego, CA Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Atlanta, GA Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Chicago, IL Regal City North Stadium 14 IMAX & RPX
New York, NY Regal Union Square Stadium 14
Warrington, PA Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 & IMAX
Knoxville, TN Regal Pinnacle Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
Houston, TX Edwards Houston Marq’E Stadium 23 IMAX & RPX
Seattle, WA Regal Thornton Place Stadium 14 & IMAX

The film will feature previous stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford while adding actors like Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis and more. It’s set to hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
