Upcoming Storylines That Has AEW Fans Excited

AEW is becoming one of the most-watched and talked about wrestling companies. With big names such as Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho, along with a batch of talented wrestlers; it's no surprise why the company's such a success. Last Saturday, the company held its pay-per-view Full Gear, which gave fans plenty of amazing matches and shock moments.

On last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, we saw the continuation of some storylines from Full Gear. We also saw the beginning of some new storylines, which has fans excited to tune into the weekly show.

So let's take a look at some of the stories that AEW is planning.

MJF vs. Cody Rhodes

Maxwell Jacob Friedman or MJF as he's referred to is one of Cody Rhodes' close friends. As Cody was preparing for his championship match against Chris Jericho, MJF was by Cody's side. At Full Gear, MJF was at ringside as Cody and Jericho fought. MJF would end up costing his friend the championship when he threw a towel into the ring to stop the match. Afterward, MJF climbed into the ring and kicked Cody in the groin.

Fans suspected MJF would turn heel eventually, and AEW didn't disappoint with making MJF a villain. During last night's show, MJF gave a promo in which he claimed that Cody was the villain not him. Later Chris Jericho would come to the ring to convince MJF to join The Inner Circle. Before MJF could give an answer, Cody rushed into the ring and attacked his former friend. However, MJF gained the upper hand when his new pal Wardlow came to help him.

MJF and Cody's feud is just beginning, and with Wardlow in the mix, things are going to get uglier.

Jon Moxley Makes A Statement

Jon Moxley has found his new home at AEW and is ready to dish out the violence. He and Kenny Omega delivered an awesome performance at Full Gear when they competed in an unsanctioned Lights Out match. The two men fought a heated battle, which had the tearing the ring apart and using every weapon imaginable. Moxley walked away the winner, and on Wednesday night he took to the microphone to say he made good on his promise during his match with Omega. He also issued an open challenge daring anyone to step into the ring with him.

Later in the night, Darby Allin would accept Moxley's challenge, leading to a match between the two for next week. With Moxley vowing to inflict violence, Darby and the rest of the AEW locker room better lookout.

Chris Jericho's Next Challenger

As the AEW Champion, Chris Jericho has developed a massive ego. With his new entourage The Inner Circle behind him, Jericho can't be stopped.

Or can he?

Fans are wondering who will be the next challenger for Jericho's championship. Everyone assumes it'll be Omega, Moxley, or Hangman Page. But last night, I think we got a clear view of the next contender.

Jericho and Sammy Guevara competed in a tag match against SCU. Chris and Sammy lost the match when Scorpio Sky pinned him, giving Jericho his first loss in AEW.

It looks like a Scorpio Sky and Chris Jericho feud is in the works. Sky has become a fan favorite and they need a massive babyface to go up against Chris Jericho.
