Upcoming C-Drama Jixiang Unhappy Trailer Teases Gu Landi & Gao Siwen’s Love Story

The upcoming Wuxia C-drama Jixiang Unhappy is all set to meet viewers on March 27, 2024. It features Gu Landi and Gao Siwen in the main roles. Jixiang Unhappy is an adaptation of the manhua “The King of Hell Is Unhappy” by Shi Tu Zi.

The drama tells the story of Princess Jixiang (Gao Siwen) of the spirit race, who ends up falling in love with Ye Zhou (Gu Landi), a human. In this drama, the human and spirit worlds don’t have the best relationship. Amidst this rising hostility between the two races, Jixiang comes to the human world to obtain a sacred object.

The newly released trailer shows the human world, which considers every spirit evil. Jixiang is tied to a poll and is being burnt alive by humans. Ye Zhou of the Baichuan sect arrives at the spot just in time to save her. He announces that he will strike anyone who tries to harm Jixiang.

Ye Zhou tells Jixiang that it is only human for him to fall in love with her. Being in love with her is the essence of his identity. Jixiang, on the other hand, also started to fall for Ye Zhou. He promises to always be faithful towards Jixiang and protect her smile. He does not want to fail her ever.

The trailer also shows sweet moments in their love story, like an accidental kiss, Jixiang using her body of extreme heat to warm Ye Zhou, etc. Will their love prevail in the face of bitterness between the races they belong to?

Other than the main actors, Jixiang Unhappy will also feature Ren Wu, Leslie Ma, Peng Shi Teng, Wang Yu, Han Jia Shu etc., in pivotal roles.

Jixiang Unhappy will air on Wednesdays. It will release a total of 24 episodes, which will be available for streaming on Youku.
