Unprecedented and Hectic Night on ‘The Voice’ Leads to Top 12
It was a wild ride on The Voice as the live playoffs kicked off Monday night. It was an unprecedented and hectic night as there were 20 performances, along with real-time voting and results!
The members from each team performed while people at home voted. As the show went on, the results were revealed, and the two team members who received the most votes automatically moved on to the top 12. Then the coach picked one of the remaining three members to send on to next week as well.
Team Alicia got things started off: Viewers selected Christian Cuevas and Wé McDonald, and Alicia chose Sa’Rayah. Moving to the top 12 from Team Blake were America’s picks, Sundance Head and Austin Allsup, along with Blake’s choice of Courtney Harrell. Team Miley saw Aaron Gibson and Ali Caldwell moving on thanks to America, while Miley chose Darby Walker. Finally, Team Adam wrapped up the night with Billy Gilman and Josh Gallagher voted through while Adam picked Brendan Fletcher as the credits were rolling.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
