- In a bizarre parallel to Dyatlov's journey, our own expedition has been hit by a savage blizzard and a dangerous drop in temperature, on the day we were due to make it to the pass.

[WIND BLOWING]

- So we had a crazy amount of wind, snow, cold weather last night. It was pretty cold in the tent. And we've lost all sign the track we came in on, so riding out today we're really tough. We're never going to make it to the Dyatlov Pass today. Moving today would just be very, very dangerous. And as you can see, temperature is brutal. Today could be minus 40, maybe more. This is brutal conditions.
