Universal: 4th Horror Nights house has museum setting

The stream of haunted house announcements for Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights continued Wednesday with another maze with an original theme.

The latest identified house for Horror Nights 2024 at Universal Studios theme park will be called The Museum: Deadly Exhibit.

“You decide to visit the new folklore museum exhibit, The Rotting Stone, when an evil escapes from within, destroying everything in its path,” reads a description on Universal’s social media accounts.

The Museum is the fourth HHN33 house revealed since Friday. In a departure from recent years, the attraction has not yet announced any houses tied to intellectual properties from movies or TV shows. Eventually, there will be 10 houses and five scare zones in the event, which kicks off Aug. 30.

Themes for previously announced HHN houses for this year have included Slaughter Sinema 2, Goblin’s Feast and Major Sweet Candy Factory.

In other Universal Orlando news released Wednesday, the theme of the next Tribute Store, set to open Friday, was unveiled. The refreshed merchandise area in the Hollywood section of the theme park will be tied to 1980s movies such as “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial” and “Back to the Future,” the resort says. The shopping mall video will be portrayed through three rooms: Mega Video Rental, Mega Castle Arcade and the Tribute Theater.

That should tie in with the Universal Mega Movie Parade, which launches at Universal Studios on July 3.
