Unicorns, King Tut and Jaguars: 80 fun things to do in Jacksonville in August
Looking for a little adventure this month? One could pet a unicorn, drink a beer with a tiger, go to a Jason Aldean concert, have a cocktail with the Mad Hatter, visit King Tut's tomb and watch the Jaguars play, all without ever leaving the Jacksonville city limits in August.
Stretch it out a bit and you could watch cars smash into each other on purpose, celebrate an icon's birthday, watch a professional skimboard tournament and catch a pair of other Jasons playing back-to-back concerts, all without traveling farther than Clay and St. Johns counties.

Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience
Daily at the NoCo Center (closed Mondays and Tuesdays)
The “Beyond Van Gogh” immersive show sold more than 130,000 tickets, and it’s likely the King Tut show put together with help from National Geographic is going to sell even more. Visitors walk through seven galleries, learning about ancient Egyptian traditions, and the main room, where a 23-minute loop will project images from the Boy King’s life on the walls, floors and people.
