Cody Rhodes will defend the gold at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came to the ring on the May 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. General Manager Nick Aldis congratulated him on his successful defense at WWE Backlash France. He then turned his attention toward WWE King and Queen of the Ring and announced that United States Champion Logan Paul was Cody’s next challenger.

Paul came to the ring and said that match would be a great way to truly kick off the Logan Paul Levesque Era. Rhodes noted that he liked the challenge of a Champion vs. Champion match. Paul responded by calling himself the greatest attraction in WWE and a superstar.

Paul highlighted how he debuted at WrestleMania 38, and Rhodes returned there as well. He claimed that he was the rocket fuel of the spaceship that was WWE. Paul then vowed to beat Rhodes for the title.

Rhodes responded by highlighting Paul’s success in WWE and beyond. He then stated that Paul was disrespectful and self-centered. Rhodes teased his interest in winning Paul’s title and said that he would learn his place on the WWE team at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE King and Queen of the Ring as it airs on May 26.
