UNC picks up crystal ball prediction for transfer target

The North Carolina Tar Heels landed one player out of the transfer portal when guard Paxson Wojcik pledged earlier this week.

With multiple roster spots to fill, Hubert Davis and his staff continue to actively pursue targets. And they just picked up a crystal ball prediction.

Towson wing Nick Timberlake was on North Carolina’s campus Tuesday after Davis and the staff conducted an in-home visit a week ago. Now, UNC appears to be the front-runner in the recruitment.

The Tar Heels hold the lone prediction in Timberlake’s 247Sports crystal ball, with it being logged a few days ago. However, it’s NOT from a national analyst. It is from an insider on the network’s Maryland site. So we have to keep that in mind.

Timberlake averaged 17.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.

He’s a player to continue to monitor in the portal as other teams are also showing interest as well.
