A date for the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy is finally here.

On Thursday, Netflix announced the final season of the superhero show is coming on Aug. 8. Alongside the announcement, the official Umbrella Academy social accounts offered a sneak peek at the characters now — with each of the siblings receiving their own promotional poster. The characters walk into frame as kids and out of frame as adults, teasing their growth.

Three seasons of the Gerard Way-written fantasy series have already aired on the streaming platform, starting in 2019. The plot follows a family of adopted siblings, who were welcomed into the life and home of a legendary billionaire. However, it was no ordinary life, as the children were raised to “save the world.”

Traveling across time, with super powers to accompany their journeys, the now-adult siblings have been responsible for solving mysteries and weathering global turmoil.

Season 4 is confirmed to be the final season of the series. Lead actors Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, David Castañeda and Ritu Arya are all confirmed to be returning for the last season.

The series left off on a huge cliffhanger as season 3 concluded. The superhero saviors lost their powers as the season ended, leaving questions into their capabilities — and what comes next.

"I honestly really do like the fact that we don't have powers because The Umbrella Academy was never really about the powers," Castañeda previously told PEOPLE. "The power was just a little seasoning to [the show], [this season] has de-escalated and it's become much more about, 'Let's just watch these people that we really love bantering with each other.'"
