"I feel personally that this is my favorite season," David Castañeda says about the Netflix superhero show's last chapter.

It's been awhile since we've checked in with the Hargreeves family, but the superheroes of The Umbrella Academy are ready for their final chapter.

As part of its Geeked Week preview event, Netflix released a new video interview with the cast in which they attempt to describe season 4 as simultaneously descriptively and vaguely as possible.

Elliot Page, who plays Viktor Hargreeves, says that the concluding episodes include "excitement, surprises, humor." Ritu Arya calls it "the best season yet," while David Castañeda says "I feel personally that this is my favorite season."

Season 4 will introduce some new characters to the mix, including Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally as Drs. Gene & Jean Thibedeau, married college professors who "suffer from the most extreme case of deja vu this timeline has ever seen," according to the casting announcement from February. David Cross, meanwhile, joins as Sy Grossman, a businessman "who will stop at nothing to reconnect with his estranged daughter and get her back."

"There are some unbelievable new characters and new villains that are super exciting," says Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves. It's not clear yet which new characters qualify as villains, though.

For those who need a recap, season 3 of The Umbrella Academy saw the team making sense of a new reality in which they had been replaced by the Sparrow Academy — an alternate group of superheroes whose lineup included a very different version of their late brother Ben (Justin H. Min). The season ended with another timeline reset that left the Hargreeves siblings powerless.

Whether that's a good or bad thing for them will become clear over the course of season 4, which is set to hit Netflix in 2024. Watch the video above. Now that the show has passed the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba, there's no telling what might happen next.
