Ultra Music is collaborating with upscale hotel Wynn Las Vegas to create a new label dedicated to releasing a series of EDM compilation albums and new releases.

The label will be called Ultra/Wynn, and the compilation releases on tap will be directly related to the summer entertainment slates of Wynn’s four nightclubs — Encore Beach Club, Surrender, Tryst, and XS. The first compilation release, out this month, will focus on the summer slate for Encore and will include music from past and future Wynn resident DJs Afrojack, Avicii, deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, and Calvin Harris.

The physical CD will be available at Wynn’s retail outlets, while the album will be available worldwide online. The second compilation in the series, set for release September 1, will be branded with XS Nightclub’s lineup.

“With their impressive line-up of resident DJs and truly world-class venues, Wynn Las Vegas has become the center of dance music in America,” said Patrick Moxey, Ultra Music founder and president, in a statement. “This venture will bring the Wynn nightlife experience and EDM’s popularity into unprecedented new directions.”

“This is a truly exciting time for dance music in Las Vegas,” said Jonathan Shecter, director of original programming for the nightlife venues at Wynn Las Vegas and executive producer of the project, in the statement. “Partnering with Ultra gives us tremendous reach in the genre, along with the power of their incredible repertoire.”

In addition to the compilation releases, the label will be producing original mixes from Vegas-based DJs, as well as new music from established DJs and all-star collaborations. Ultra’s YouTube channel will also live stream a series of Wynn events and feature a weekly “Wynn Nightlife Report” with behind the scenes access and interviews with the DJs frequenting Wynn.

“Creating signature mixes and streaming live content offers a new platform for our resident DJs and their fans,” stated Jesse Waits, managing partner of XS and Tryst.
