Twin Peaks plans to open its first Northeast Florida restaurant on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Just in time for the kickoff of the 2023 NFL season, Jacksonville’s first Twin Peaks sports bar is opening.

Billed as “the ultimate sports lodge,” Twin Peaks opened Thursday at 11892 Atlantic Blvd. in the former Cinco de Mayo space vacated when the restaurant moved in 2022 to 13170 Atlantic Blvd., just two miles away.

The Dallas-based chain is known for its 29-degree draft beer served in frosted 22-ounce mugs, made-from-scratch menu and 43 TVs offering live sports coverage.

It’s also famous for its waitstaff, known as the "Twin Peaks Girls," dressed in short denim shorts and buffalo plaid tops, often exposing their midriffs, and described as the “essential ingredient to the perfect lodge experience … equal parts friendly, engaging and attentive.”

Founded in 2005 outside Dallas, Twin Peaks is among the latest entrants into the so-called “breastaurant” market made famous by Hooters. The restaurant, the first of “many” planned in north Florida, according to a new release, is the 10th in Florida and 105th for the chain.

“We’re excited to bring the first Twin Peaks lodge to the Jacksonville market,” said franchise-owner Will Whisner.
