A ‘Ukrainian reconstruction fee’ should be added to all Russian tourist visas – Yermak-McFaul group

This is stated in the group’s new action plan, dated April 24.

The group suggests that other countries should follow the example of the Baltic states, Poland, and Finland, which have already banned entry for all Russian citizens with tourist visas.
They propose adding a fee to all visas issued to Russian citizens traveling to Europe and other countries in the “sanctions coalition.” Russians would have the option of paying the additional fee and going to Rome, for instance, or not paying and vacationing in Minsk.

Presidential Office chief-of-staff, Andriy Yermak, said that Ukraine is waiting for new, powerful packages of sanctions that will include Russian propagandists and athletes.
He also named the energy complex of the Russian Federation and the defense industry among the sectors that require restrictions.
The Yermak-McFaul sanctions group is an international working group of independent experts on sanctions against Russia created by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It is headed by Yermak and former US Ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul.
