Ukrainian Armed Forces force Russians to retreat on three fronts - General Staff report

Ukrainian defenders have repelled assaults and halted the Russian advance near Marinka, as well as on the Bakhmut and Donetsk fronts.

Details: On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces continue to provide enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border section. In addition, they continued shelling civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Khrinivka and Yanzhulivka, Chernihiv Oblast. They also carried out air strikes on the town of Slavhorod in Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians fired on defence units, and conducted radio reconnaissance and radio-electronic warfare.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces used tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery near settlements in Kharkiv, Shevelivka, Pishchane, Chuhuiv, Shestakove, Zamulivka and Ruska Lozova. Russian assault actions near the settlements of Dementiivka and Pytomnyk were unsuccessful. They skirted around the area near Fedorivka, Ukrainka, Zamulivka, Shestakove and Peremoha.

On the Sloviansk front, Russia's main efforts were concentrated towards the village of Dolyna. Fire from gun and rocket artillery was recorded in the areas near Bohorodychne, Adamivka, Khrestyshche, Hrushuvakha, Svitlychne and Kurulka. Russian forces also carried out an airstrike near Dovhenke. In order to improve their tactical position, Russian troops are conducting an offensive towards the settlement of Mazanivka. The fighting is ongoing.

On the Donetsk front, with the support of artillery, the Russians are attempting to blockade the town of Lysychansk from the south. They are firing at civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Lysychansk, Vovchoiarivka, Loskutivka and Verkhnokamianka. Russian attack aircraft carried out an airstrike near the town of Lysychansk. Fighting continues near Vovchoiarivka. Near Verkhnokamianka, Ukrainian Defence Forces inflicted significant losses on Russian troops and forced them to retreat.

The Russians did not continue active combat operations on the Kramatorsk front but fired on the districts of Raihorodka and Maiaky using artillery.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces fired at Ukrainian positions with mortars, gun and rocket artillery in the areas near Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Klynove and Zaitseve. An airstrike was reported near Pokrovske. Our [Ukrainian - ed.] soldiers detected and disabled sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Spirne and Yakovlivka, and also repulsed an assault towards Klynove. The Russian offensive in the areas near the settlements of Berestove and Vershyna has been stopped. The Russians have retreated. They are establishing new positions, including roadblocks in the Mykolaivka area.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian troops fired using gun and rocket artillery at Ukrainian Armed Forces positions along the line of contact. Airstrikes were carried out near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Vesele, Vuhledar, Shevchenko, Prychystivka, Marinka and Pavlivka. Russian missile and airstrikes were reported in Avdiivka. Near Marinka, Ukrainian soldiers again nipped the Russians' attempt to advance in the bud.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russia's main efforts are focused on maintaining the occupied positions. They conducted reconnaissance and improved their positions' engineering equipment. Russian forces fired on civilian and military infrastructure using mortar and rocket artillery in the areas near the settlements of Velyka Kostromka, Potomkyne, Kniazivka, Partyzanske, Kvitneve and Stepova Dolyna. Ukrainian aircraft carried out several successful airstrikes on concentrations of Russian troops.
