It’s finally starting to look like Fall, and to kick off the Halloween season, a special double miniature book feature with the Master of Macabre–Edgar Allen Poe himself–in Miniature!
The first work is Edgar Allen Poe’s classic The Raven. This mini classic is “in English and Russian in facing texts.. separate front covers and single back cover” (from the catalog) It also has some beautiful colored and black line drawings, with silver gilt pages.
The second book is The Pit and the Pendulum. All the three inch tall Inquisitors in our audience should take note, this book comes with its own little brass movable Pendulum on the cover! This work also features a “Bradel binding structured covered with black Hartmatan goatskin”.–from the publisher’s website.
