Before he hits the links at Southern Hills Country Club for the 2022 PGA Championship, Louisville professional golfer Justin Thomas is teeing off on the price of beer at the major tournament.

Spectators looking to quench their thirst with a beer at the Tulsa, Oklahoma, golf course will pay $18 for a 25-ounce can of Michelob Ultra and $19 for a 25-ounce can of Stella Artois, according to Golfweek. A glass of wine is $13, and cocktails will set you back $19.

“Good thing I don’t drink a lot,” Keith Coleman of Tulsa told Golfweek while standing in a concession line Monday.

Compare those prices to what's offered at The Masters — $5 per beer, both domestics and imports — and it's easy to see why fans and Thomas are so frustrated.

"$18(!!!!!!) for a beer… uhhhh what," wrote Thomas, a St. Xavier graduate, on Twitter. "Gotta treat the fans better than that!"

"JT.....you are playing for over 9 million this week," one Twitter user replied to Thomas. "Where exactly does that money come from?"

"Tv deals, ticket sales, corporate sponsors, etc.," Thomas answered. "From the looks of it if the concession stands were factored into our purse we would be playing for $15 million."

Thomas, who won the PGA Championship in 2017, is looking for his first Tour victory in 2022 at Southern Hills Country Club. He is coming off a fifth-place finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament and finished tied for eighth place at The Masters in April.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, Thomas has +1500 odds to win the 2022 PGA Championship, which begins Thursday and concludes Sunday. He's +380 to finish in the top five, +175 to finish in the top 10 and -115 to finish in the top 20.
