Tyrese has issued a response to his ex-wife Samantha Lee after she explained her openness to reconciliation. In a lengthy video shared on Instagram and deleted, the 44-year-old claimed Lee had ulterior motives in speaking about their past relationship.

“She is loving it. Congratulations, you went viral again over something else that you said ’cause you trying to build up your YouTube page and get your followers up,” shared the R&B singer, per Complex. “If you had people in your ear at the time, they must be still in your ear because you still trying to get $20,000 a month for a 5-year-old. You make $160,000 a year on your own.”

He continued to detail, “You’re trying to crack the prenup and it’s been three years of it,” calling Lee a “narcissist and sociopath.”

Elsewhere in the clip, the Fast And Furious franchise star elaborated that, although he sings about his heartbreak, he has no desire to get back together with Lee.

“I don’t want no one to confuse me releasing songs the way Adele release songs about her ex-husband, the way Jazmine Sullivan and Mary J. Blige release songs about their exes when they get cheated on, lie, get fu**ed over, when they go through painful relationships that come to an end,” relayed the Grammy-nominated performer.

“I don’t want no one to confuse me releasing songs singing about how I feel about Samantha with confusing me wanting this woman back. If I wanted her back I would have got her back. I don’t want Sam.”

The response comes after Lee guested on the Hardly Initiated podcast, where she explained how advice from others resulted in her life-changing decision to leave the singer.

“It’s my daughter’s father so I would say this…if we were both going to show up and we were both going to fight for it equally and sacrifice equally, like you know things that I needed, and you know things that he knows he needed—I wasn’t perfect. If we were both willing to fight and we were both willing to do certain things, then yes…no one wants a broken family.”

Tyrese and Lee were married in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Soraya, the following year. The couple announced their divorce in December 2020.
