Tyrese Officially Calls For Peace Amid War With DJ Envy
Tyrese is calling a truce in his beef with DJ Envy and The Breakfast Club. On Sunday (Sept. 17), the crooner took to Instagram Live to wave his white flag.
“It was a lot of things that was happening when I was going into my mental health situation and the things that I’ve been trying to mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically navigate through… Of the two, there’s more respect for Charlamagne [Tha God], but I’m throwing up my white flag. I just want peace.”
He continued, “This is the best version of me being accountable… When I’m out here, I’m just tryna clear my name. I want peace; I don’t want no problems. I told n***as I’m ready for all that smoke with Envy, but I’m waving my peace flag. I’m going to make the choice to take the higher road.”
Tyrese and Envy’s beef came to a head on Friday (Sept. 15) when the Black Rose singer shared a five-part rant on Instagram. “What I’m NEVER gonna do until I take my last breath is let anyone question my integrity, attack my character and be out here reckless on some random f**k s**t,” Tyrese expressed under part one of his diatribe.
“I would strongly suggest you tread lightly…. I don’t do cease-and-desist letters. I don’t deal with lawyers I don’t snitch…. I don’t gaslight. I wanna f**k up and I’ll make a mistake. I can tell my own self under the bus… You decide on your own what level we’re gonna take it to from here… I want all the smoke beige n***a.”
The men began a verbal sparring match after Tyrese’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, where Envy confronted the singer about their estranged friendship and allegations that he disrespected his wife, Gia Casey. Tyrese denied the claims and has been on a warpath clearing his name ever since.
