Tyra Banks’s Sky-High Apartment Will Cost You $17.5 Million
If you’re in the market for a fierce home, Tyra Banks’s apartment high in the sky might be exactly what you’re looking for! The Lower Manhattan digs located in Battery Park faces the Hudson River and has views of the Statue of Liberty. The place can be yours for $17.5 million — or you can rent it for $50,000 per month, but Tyra would really rather sell the place.
The supermodel — who purchased the space in 2009 — spent time renovating and combining four apartments into one enormous duplex that spans the 22nd and 23rd floors. The now 7,000-square-foot space boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. “New amazing ideas just kept coming and coming to me,” said Tyra of the decor, in which she incorporated rich fabrics, textured wall coverings, exotic wood details, and ornate light fixtures.
The apartment located in the eco-oriented Riverhouse complex has everything you could possibly want, including a river-view fitness room, fully equipped hair salon, a mirrored dressing room, a kitchen with a zebrawood island, two Miele dishwashers, and a dining alcove that Tyra wanted to feel like a “booth at a Michelin-starred restaurant.” Oh, and did we mention that Leonardo DiCaprio also lives in the building?
