Tyra Banks Gives Ariana Grande Hair Advice in Hilarious Exchange on Twitter

Tyra Banks never wants Ariana Grande to chop her pony.

When the America’s Next Top Model host posted a photo praising the “7 Rings” singer’s iconic ultra-high ponytail, Grande jumped on Twitter to ask Banks what hair transformation she would select for her if she were a contestant on ANTM.

“Hi i love u. i always wondered what you’d do w my hair on the makeover episodes. i’m scared to know. but also. tell me. please. i won’t do it. but please tell me. love u,” Grande wrote.

During each makeover episode each cycle of ANTM, Banks determines a bold new look for each contestant — whether it be shaving off all her hair or going bleach blonde — to help them reach their highest modeling potential.

But it looks like in Grande’s case, Banks wouldn’t do anything to change up her signature look.

The ANTM host responded, “Ari boo, 1st: I love you and if I wasn’t my height, I’d wanna be yours. 2nd: I teach Personal Branding at @StanfordGSB and on day one, my lecture touches on the power of your pony. An iconic, visual cue to the world that identifies you! 3rd: You betta not touch that tail.”

Grande’s pulled back, high ponytail quickly became her go-to look for performances and the red carpet after her hair endured lots of damage from years of bleaching it and dyeing it red for her Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat.

“My actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down … As annoying as it is for y’all to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it’s all that works for now (and I’m comfortable for the first time in years),” Grande said.

And Grande isn’t here for any of the haters that tell her to stop rocking her signature ‘do.

“S—, you don’t like my ponytail?” she said in her Byrdie interview. “I’m gonna have it two times bigger tomorrow, and higher, tighter, more hair in there too! S—, I’ll crimp it! You ain’t seen a crimp like this in 20 years!”
