Typhoon Texas Austin to host 21+ 'Grown-Up Getaway' event Friday
Typhoon Texas Waterpark Austin in Pflugerville is planning to host an exclusive event for those over the legal drinking age Friday.
The "Grown-Up Getaway" event is being advertised as a way for adults over 21 to recharge and unwind with a night to themselves. It follows a similar event hosted in Houston recently.
"Need a night away from the kids?" the waterpark's website reads, "It's time for YOU to escape for a night and embrace the FUN because you deserve a BREAK!"

The event is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and will feature DJ Tequila Leah. Tickets cost $29.99 and must be purchased online, according to the waterpark's website. Entry is free for the waterpark's 2023 season pass holders.
The purchase of a ticket includes one of three meal options: a three-piece chicken tender meal, a burger basket or a slice of pizza. Drinks are not included.
