‘What/If’: Tyler Ross, Derek Smith, Nana Ghana, Monique Kim and Marissa Cuevas To Recur In Netflix Social Thriller Series

Tyler Ross (The Killing), Derek Smith (Grey’s Anatomy), Nana Ghana (White Rabbit), Monique Kim (Looks That Kill) and Marissa Cuevas (Midnight, Texas) are set to recur on What/If, Netflix’s social thriller anthology drama series starring Renée Zellweger, Jane Levy and Blake Jenner, from Revenge and Swingtown creator Mike Kelley.

The series is written by Kelley, directed by Phillip Noyce and produced by Page Fright, Atlas Entertainment and Compari Entertainment in association with Warner Bros Television.

What/If explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. The first season focuses on a mysterious woman’s lucrative but dubious offer to a cash-strapped pair of San Francisco newlyweds.

Executive producing the series are Kelley, who also showruns, and Melissa Loy via Page Fright, Alex Gartner and Charles Roven via Atlas Entertainment and Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke via Compari Entertainment. Jackie Levine of Compari Entertainment serves as co-executive producer.

Noyce is directing and executive producing the first two episodes.

Ross most recently was seen in A24’s The Lovers alongside Debra Winger and Tracy Letts. His other film credits include a critically praised performance in The Wise Kids, along with American Milkshake, Officer Down and Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party. In television, Ross was a lead on Netflix’s The Killing, and his other credits include 9-1-1, Boss, NCIS and Major Crimes.

Smith’s credits include guest-starring roles on Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife, CSI and Drop Dead Diva, as well as series regular role on The Secret Lives of Wives pilot. On film, he played the lead in One of Us.

Ghana appeared in feature White Rabbit, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. She recently finished directing her documentary LA Woman Rising, produced by Rosario Dawson, and just finished shooting Lost Transmission opposite Simon Pegg and Juno Temple.

Kim’s recent credits include Looks That Kill and two seasons of High Expectasians, a comedic web series she wrote, produced and starred in, featured on Funny Or Die and Whohahah. Kim is repped by Joseph Le Talent Agency, Marque Entertainment and attorney Hayes Robbins.

Cuevas’ credits include Midnight, Texas and a co-starring role in Netflix feature #Realityhigh. She is repped by The Kohner Agency and Bernard Kira of BMK-ENT.
