Tyler Posey Gives Dylan O’Brien Health Update After ‘Maze Runner’ Injury (VIDEO)

Dylan O’Brien is on the road to recovery.

Following an accident this March on the set of “The Maze Runner: The Death Cure” that left O’Brien suffering multiple injuries, the actor’s “Teen Wolf” co-star Tyler Posey spoke to Variety about his friend’s recovery — and says everything is well.

“He’s great. He’s got some recovering to do,” Posey said this weekend at the MTV Movie Awards. “He got hurt. It was a very scary situation, but he’s alive. Everything’s taking care of. He’s just healing.”

O’Brien has not addressed his accident. With a following of 4.5 million on Twitter, the actor has had no activity on social media since the injury occurred.

Following the accident, “Death Cure” director Wes Ball addressed O’Brien’s injury in a letter he posted on social media. “I’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt,” he wrote. “But, ultimately I find myself left with a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie. I’m sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It’s scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he’ll be back up and running to finish our adventure together. All the best.”

Posey and O’Brien have starred on MTV’s “Teen Wolf” together since the show’s debut in 2011. O’Brian starred in the first “Maze Runner” in 2014 and the second installment, “Scorch Trials,” in 2015. The third, “Death Cure,” hits theaters on Feb. 17, 2017.
