Tyler Perry is keeping his home at BET.

Announced on Tuesday (April 16), the entertainment mogul has signed a new deal with BET Media Group and with that, all 10 of his current series — Sistas, The Oval, Assisted Living, House Of Payne, ZATIMA, Ruthless, All The Queen’s Men, BRUH, Perimeter, and The Michael Blackson Show — have been renewed for new seasons.

“Scott Mills and his team at BET have been incredibly supportive throughout our time working together, and I’m excited to continue bringing these stories to the screen,” said Perry in a statement. “I’m grateful to our loyal audiences for watching week after week and engaging these stories.”

He has also confirmed that he has a new crime drama, Route 187, that has been greenlit for 2025. All shows are executive produced, directed, and written by Perry.

Scott Mills, President & CEO of BET Media Group, added, “Tyler Perry is simply without rival as a creator of content that powerfully resonates with audiences across genres, formats, and platforms. Our programming partnership with Tyler — undoubtably the largest deal ever in the industry with a Black creator — has been hugely successful; delivering the number one series across all TV among Black audiences and five of the top 10 series on cable among Black viewers. We are thrilled to extend our extraordinary relationship with Tyler and to continue to be the home of the largest and most diverse collection of new Tyler Perry content for years to come.”

The new deal will replace Perry’s current agreement, which was set to expire this year. He initially went into partnership with Paramount’s predecessor Viacom back in 2017 to produce 90 episodes annually for drama and comedy shows for BET and other Viacom networks. Since debuting his first BET series in 2019, Perry has produced over 700 episodes for BET and BET+.

Their new contract comes after Perry was unable to procure BET from Paramount when it was up for sale. He described the bidding process as “disrespectful.”

Previously, he secured a first-look film deal with Netflix in October 2023, and his latest film, Mea Culpa, premiered in late February 2024. Additionally, Perry has a four-film deal with Amazon Studios.
