Two Volusia-Flagler restaurants make Southern Living’s Best Seafood Dives in Florida

Two Volusia-Flagler restaurants have been recognized by Southern Living magazine for their superior seafood selections.

JB’s Fish Camp in New Smyrna Beach and High Tides at Snack Jack in Flagler Beach both landed a spot on the popular magazine’s list of the Top 15 Best Seafood Dives in Florida. JB’s Fish Camp took the number one spot on the list of Sunshine State favorites, described as a “classic dive,” where “anything fried is good.”

High Tides at Snack Jack found itself at number five on the magazine’s top-picks list, praised for its oceanfront views and “21st-century menu items.”

Dating all the way back to the 1940s, this beloved Flagler Beach eatery is a local favorite for its laid-back atmosphere, fresh and flavorful menu of wild-caught seafood, and relaxing, beachfront views. Serving as the perfect lunch spot with friends or for a quick, casual bite, there’s something for everyone on the High Tides menu, which offers a variety of tacos, sandwiches, wraps, platters and more. The New Smyrna Beach eatery, which has been serving fresh seafood to locals for over 30 years, is known for its gorgeous waterfront views on the Mosquito Lagoon and menu of favorites, ranging from the steamed snow crab clusters and fried shrimp to the spiced seafood gumbo and bay scallops.

The local spot is must-visit restaurant for a riverfront, sunset dinner and, who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of nearby porpoises, manatees or other local wildlife visitors.
