Two Russian missile strikes knock out power for the whole of city of Zhytomyr, says mayor

Zhytomyr Mayor Sergey Sukhomlyn announced on Facebook that two hits on energy infrastructure facilities had been recorded, as a result of which the city had lost power completely.

Rescuers and the emergency services are working at the site of the strikes, Sukhomlyn said, promising to provide details later.
On the afternoon of Nov. 15, Russia started a massive missile attack on Ukrainian cities, with air defense activated across a number of regions.

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Rivne. There were hits on a number of civilian energy infrastructure facilities.
Russia also launched missile strikes on Kyiv, where some missiles hit residential buildings in the capital’s Pechersk District, where the country’s main government buildings are located.
This mass missile attack came on the first day of the G20 summit in Indonesia, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a 10-point peace plan to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.
