Two More Women Accuse Jonathan Majors Of Domestic Abuse

Jonathan Majors stands accused of physical and emotional abuse by two women he previously dated. Speaking with the New York Times, Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper detailed their individual experiences.
Duncan claimed that during her relationship with Majors where they were engaged from 2015 through 2019, the actor’s behavior included “choking her, throwing her around, and bruising her. She described an incident where he allegedly said “I’m going to kill you,” and “I’m going to make sure you can’t have children,” after she attempted to leave. Additional details include multiple accusations of physical abuse and emotional manipulation.
“You lose your sense of worth,” explained Duncan to the outlet.
Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry denied the allegations made against her client, saying that the couple “had many serious arguments,” and Majors is “now “choosing to take responsibility for his own part in that toxic relationship, focusing on himself, and addressing his lifelong depression.
In Hooper’s claims, she alleges the Creed III star did not allow her to “speak to anyone about their relationship, isolating her from a support system.” While together, Hooper became pregnant and subsequently had an abortion after which, she had to walk home when Majors failed to pick her up. She accuses Majors of frequently threatening to commit suicide during arguments over his infidelity.
After their breakup, Hooper says Majors contacted her after learning her new partner was someone they both knew calling her a “wh*re”, and saying “I hope you die; kill yourself” and “I’m going to rip you out of my heart the way they ripped our baby out of you.”
Chaudhry describes Majors as “young and insecure” during his relationship with Hooper, adding, “Looking back, he is embarrassed by some of his jealous behavior.” She also says the two shared “a mutually intense conversation,” and the actor “regrets saying hurtful things in that moment but does not recall the specific things he said.”
“I believe in redemption,” explained Hooper to the NYT, adding, “But not without accountability.”
The report also accuses Majors of inappropriate behavior while working on Lovecraft Country. Female co-workers eventually complained to the network about his actions. Three women who worked on the acclaimed series accused Majors of threatening behavior and making derogatory racial remarks in separate incidents.
Chaudry claims Majors has “never been told that anyone objected to his behavior”.
In December 2023, Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment against a former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. He was acquitted of two other separate counts of intentional assault and aggravated harassment.
