Two Major Title Matches Headline This Week’s Explosive NXT 2.0 – How & Why To Watch

There’s never been a more exciting time to be watching NXT 2.0.

As summer continues and feuds continue to heat up to become more personal and physical than ever before, the WWE Universe has plenty of exciting matches and storylines to look forward to with a true spotlight being shone on the up-and-coming men and women competing every Tuesday evening. After all, the Superstars you see Tuesday nights on NXT 2.0 are the same ones you’ll see competing at future editions of SummerSlam.

Let’s just hope they all know how to drive a tractor.

This week’s edition of NXT 2.0 promises to be another fast-paced, action-packed episode, highlighted by two gigantic championship matches.

The first title match was set up by last week’s backstage interview with Mandy Rose and the rest of Toxic Attraction. The group was quickly interrupted by Sarray, who laid claim to an NXT Women’s Championship opportunity via the fact that she wasn’t eliminated from the #1 Contender Battle Royal a few weeks back.

(Granted, it’s because she was never in the match in the first place. Instead, she was competing in the United Kingdom at the time. Still, we here at USA Insider appreciate Sarray’s logic.)

Mandy Rose quickly accepted the challenge for this week, showing that she is either very confident in her chances against Sarray or she may be looking past Sarray and toward her NXT Heatwave title match against Zoey Stark instead.

The NXT Women’s Championship match this week has some interesting wrinkles. Will the rest of Toxic Attraction make their marks on the matchup?

Will Zoey Stark make her presence known? Or is the #1 contender content with waiting her turn?

Nevertheless, the WWE Universe shouldn’t be surprised that Mandy Rose accepted Sarray’s challenge so quickly. After all, the champion is most likely looking for revenge.

The long-simmering beef between Mandy Rose and Sarray goes back to August 2021, when Sarray injured Rose with a devastating dropkick to the face, nearly putting her out of action permanently — and derailing Rose’s eventual NXT Women’s Championship reign:

So as these two women face off tonight, will Mandy Rose emerge victorious? Or will Sarray connect once again with one of her patented dropkicks to the face of the champion, leading to a new champion? Anything can happen!

The NXT Tag Team Championships will also be on the line this week, as Tony D’Angelo and “Stacks” go up against reigning champions the Creed Brothers!

Last week, Tony D’Angelo and his “family” scored an all-important win against the Diamond Mine in the main event. Naturally, D’Angelo doesn’t want the ball to stop rolling, as championship gold is in his sights.

The Creed Brothers — possibly the best pound-for-pound prospects in all of WWE at the moment — have been on a roll ever since they captured the tag titles by defeating Pretty Deadly earlier this summer.

As former collegiate All-Americans, losses have been rare for Julius and Brutus. Although we’re not betting they’re the type of team to lose two matches in a row, if SummerSlam — and the past month or so of NXT 2.0 — has taught us anything, it’s that the WWE Universe should start expecting the unexpected these days.

But these two huge championship bouts aren’t the only items on the agenda tonight.

Von Wagner and Solo Sikoa are set to clash in a Falls Count Anywhere match, a suitable stipulation for their match considering every time these two Superstars interact, they can’t stop pummeling each other no matter where they are.

The rules will make it easy on them: They can brawl anywhere inside or outside the Capitol Wrestling Center, and pinfalls can be counted anywhere as well!

And finally, let’s not forget about the next stage in the Bronn Breaker/JD McDonagh rivalry: They’re slated to meet face-to-face during the NXT Heatwave Summit, where they will finally make their NXT Championship match official!

Will Bronn Breaker be able to keep his hands off the arrogant “Irish Ace”? Or will the WWE Universe see a little preview of what’s to come at NXT Heatwave?
