2 Boswell High students who were brothers die, 3 people injured in Fort Worth crash

Two brothers who were students at Boswell High School were killed in a car crash in northwest Fort Worth near Saginaw on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision involving a car and a pickup truck was reported about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Bailey Boswell Road and Twin Mills Boulevard.

Two people were reported dead on scene and three sustained injuries, according to MedStar. At least two people were taken to a local hospital.

In a letter to parents, Boswell High Principal Nika Davis identified the students as senior Isaiah Lopez and his brother Elijah Lopez, a freshman. The school is in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw school district.

“Our school community is in shock with the loss of Isaiah and Elijah,” Davis wrote. “As we all work to process this startling news, I want to assure you that our focus is on the emotional well-being of our school community. The loss of any life is a tragic situation, especially when the loss is a classmate or a peer.”
