Claims Of Homosexuality

Around the time of his passing rumors swirled about a relationship that Hernandez had developed with a man in prison. With whom he allegedly had a more than friends relationship with. Today, it seems that this was not a sexual preference that he developed in prison.

An anonymous former teammate said to People Magazine, "He wanted to be the big man on campus who was having sex with a lot of women, but then he’d find guys on the down-low,” with regards to Hernandez's sexual preference.

The Letter

It is not that these claims are made to suggest that Hernandez's alleged homosexuality is in any way what caused him to go over the edge and commit crimes. They are just another example of how he may have suppressed different feelings that lead him to the total brink of insanity.

A letter was recently published that is said to have been written by Hernandez himself and directed towards his partner. The letter includes passages such as the following:"You never have to question us. I will stop questioning you and us. I realized through our thing over the past few days how much I love you"

Could This Just Be A PR Stunt?

The interview conducted by People on Hernandez's former teammate at the University of Florida comes just days prior to the release of a new Netflix show. The streaming service has produced a new documentary that aims to tell the tale of the former football player and his tragic life. The documentary is set to be available on the service on the 15th of January.

The documentary is going to feature testimony from former teammates and coaches. As well as close friends and family of Hernandez and his victims.

What We Can Expect From Netflix

If any of their past work is a proper indication it is pretty safe to say that this documentary is going to at least get people talking. This is a story that shook a lot of people at the time. Yet, it has somehow remained quite a bit cast by shadows. To the point where it was never really clear what really happened.

The question that most people are left with is how a man who seemingly had it all went on to do what he did.
