Two Greater Cincinnati eateries named in Yelp's Top 100 Midwest Restaurants of 2023 list

Two Greater Cincinnati restaurants have recently been named some of the best in the Midwest.

Yelp, which publishes crowd-sourced business reviews, released its Top 100 Midwest Restaurants of 2023 list. Phoenician Taverna in Mason ranked No. 45 and Pickles and Bones Barbecue in Milford was ranked No. 71.

Several other Ohio restaurants were also featured, including Hoyo's Kitchen in Columbus, Grist in Dayton and Half Moon Bakery in Cleveland.

To determine its rankings, Yelp evaluated restaurants in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin based on ratings and reviews between January 1, 2021, and May 1, 2023.

  • Wario’s Beef and Pork, Columbus (No. 44).

  • Half Moon Bakery, Cleveland (No. 48).

  • The Blue Door Cafe & Bakery, Cuyahoga Falls (No. 51).
