Two face charges for allegedly selling cocaine

GAYLORD — Detectives from Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE) arrested a 44-year-old woman from Wolverine and a 42-year-old man from Epoufette for delivery of cocaine on Sept. 21.

SANE detectives purchased approximately ½ ounce of powder cocaine from the suspects for $1,400 in Gaylord. After the controlled purchase, a traffic stop was conducted by the Gaylord Police Department. A search of the vehicle was conducted using a Michigan State Police K9.

Approximately one ounce of crack cocaine was discovered inside the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were arrested for delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and maintaining a drug vehicle. They are lodged in the Otsego County Jail pending arraignment.
