Twitter Turns 10: CEO Talks Censorship, Trump, Kim K., and More on ‘Today’

Twitter is turning 10 years old, and to celebrate, CEO Jack Dorsey filled up a pool with money and went swimming in it! No, actually, he stopped by Today for an interview with Matt Lauer.

Lauer asked Dorsey about all sorts of things, including his being mentioned in an ISIS propaganda video. Dorsey admitted that he found it alarming and said, “We took it very seriously, absolutely.”

Lauer pressed Dorsey on the issue of people using the platform to bully others, to which he responded, “It’s disappointing, but, I mean, it’s reflective of the world.”

They also touched on Kim Kardashian profiting off of tweets, something Dorsey is supportive of. And when asked about Donald Trump’s use of the social network, Dorsey said, “As a microphone, it’s at its best. He uses it to reach out to folks and understand what they’re talking about.”
