Twitter reacts to Caleb Love entering the transfer portal
Another one bites the dust: Caleb Love announced his decision to leave UNC and enter the NCAA transfer portal.
News dropped last week that Puff Johnson was joining Justin McKoy, Dontrez Styles and Tyler Nickel. Since then, redshirt freshman Will Shaver has put his name in the portal. Meanwhile, Armando Bacot and RJ Davis announced their return to UNC.
Bacot and Davis’s decision to return was huge. However, many wondered if Love would join the guys he appeared in the national championship a year ago. Unfortunately, that did not occur.
Love took to social media, thanking UNC and announcing he would enter the transfer portal.

Love was a massive factor in UNC’s success, and his game-clinching shot in the Carolina basketball museum will forever live in Tar Heel hearts. So it is not surprising the reaction to his decision to leave left many fans in disbelief while others understood the decision to move on.

Caleb Love endured a coaching change, heavy roster turnover, & a COVID season— all halfway across the country from home.
He also led UNC to 2 of the biggest wins and one of the most exciting UNC March runs in program history.
