Twitter is freaking out over 'butt ticks' on 'Naked & Afraid'

Andrew, one of the contestants on Naked and Afraid Sunday, found himself in an uncomfortable situation after some ticks found their way onto his backside where only a medic could get to them. It started on night four when Andrew first mentioned that he thought he’d been bitten. The next morning, a medic removed multiple “butt ticks” as Andrew called them. But the damage had already been done, it would just take several more days to learn how serious the situation was. After the other contestant, Elizabeth, was stung by a scorpion, the medic decided to check out Andrew’s tick bites after treating her and found the bites to be infected. Not only that, but they had to be drained immediately, which meant no anesthetic for Andrew, who yelled in pain as the medic drained the infected bites. The medic came to the conclusion that it was best for Andrew and Elizabeth to call it quits.

[WHOOSH]

- I have a butt tick And just because it's somewhere we can't really get to, the medical team is going to get it out just to make sure it doesn't lead to infection or anything else.

KYLIE MAR: On "Naked and Afraid" Sunday, Andrew, one of the contestants, found himself with a problem that would eventually turn into a real pain in the butt.

- I have more than one tick in my butt.

- Here's another one.

- Ow.

- I think that's it. All right--

- Thank you.

KYLIE MAR: While Andrew's situation led at least one viewer to never want to be on the show, the other contestant Elizabeth was about to find herself with a situation of her own.

- So I just got stung by a scorpion on my middle finger. It just burns in waves. It is awful. Oh, my God, there it goes again.

I can't even explain how much this hurts. Fans of the show we're anxiously awaiting the episode. But it wasn't so fun for Andrew as the tick bites became infected and had to be trained.

- [GROANING]

- It hurts.

- Stay with me, man.

KYLIE MAR: That was enough for one viewer to tweet, yikes, infected tick bites and scorpion stings, no thank you. And both situations were serious enough that Andrew and Elizabeth were forced to call it quits on day 13.

- I think for your well-being, which I think is compromised, I think we need to medically tap both of you.

- I think I thought of every scenario. But being medically tapped for a bug, it just wasn't one of them.
