On Sunday’s Naked and Afraid, the episode followed Lynsey and Darvil as they tried to survive 21 days deep in the African wilderness. But as some viewers were quick call out on Twitter, they were not alone. That’s because someone, who is most likely associated with the production, was spotted in the background during one shot and appears to be carrying a rifle of some sort. One viewer assumed it was security personnel, who are on-site to make sure no wild animals cause any actual harm to the cast and crew during shows like this.

And while the gaffe is unfortunate for a show trying to build and maintain suspense, it’s fortunate people like that are present for the players who really are living among dangerous and potentially harmful animals. Like wild baboons and hyenas, both of which had the players seriously scared on this week’s episode.

- We're still very thirsty. Oh.

KYLIE MAR: On "Naked and Afraid" Sunday, contestants Lynsey and Darvil were trying to survive 21 days deep in the African wilderness. But as some viewers noticed, they weren't alone as someone, who was most likely associated with the production, was spotted in the background. One viewer tweeted, "I just started to hate Naked and Afraid. What's up with this? You have to tell security to stay out of the shot. And all these people are scared to death on the show. Why when they have somebody with a rifle. While another person pointed out, "Anyone else see the clothed guy with the rifle standing on the opposite bank of the river while Darvil was trying to cross?" And while the gaffe is unfortunate for a show trying to build and maintain suspense, it's fortunate he's there for the players who are dealing with things like wild baboons.

- They're like surrounding us. They're not gonna leave us alone.

- What is going on? This is bad.

KYLIE MAR: Oh, and don't forget about the wild hyenas.

- Did you hear that? It was big, whatever it was.

KYLIE MAR: Hopefully the bonus cast member didn't wander too far, because not long after his 5 seconds of fame, Darvil took an unintentional dip into the river.

- Oh, shoot.
