TWICE's Nayeon's New Red Hair Is the Perfect Summer Inspiration

And just like that… another pop star has gone red! TWICE's Nayeon just unveiled her latest hair transformation, and it's the only summer inspiration you'll ever need.

Nayeon debuted her new shade — a vibrant, rich, classic red — on her Instagram stories on April 16, 2024, posting a pic of her long hair styled in loose waves with teeny tiny mini buns on either side of her head. The snapshot was taken from the back so we could see every inch of the new color. She captioned with the orange and strawberry fruit emojis, perhaps as a nod to the inspo behind the color transformation. (Her hair isn't a strawberry blonde or copper, nor is it a cherry cola like Dua Lipa's, but rather an all-over bright red.)

We had a feeling a new hair color on the horizon, as Nayeon has been dabbling in warmer tones lately, lightening her dark hair a few levels and adding a wash of auburn for the perfect blend of brunette and red.

Celebs have been seeing red lately, making it one of the trendiest colors for 2024. Over the past few months, we've been treated to Megan Fox's crimson "red velvet" bob, Shay Mitchell's brief foray into cowboy copper, ZEROBASEONE's Ricky's red transformation, and Khloé Kardashian's copper wig, which looked so good fans were basically demanding she actually dye her hair. If these shades and Nayeon's fresh, new color are any indication, it definitely looks like we're in for another Strawberry Girl Summer — only this time the color is focused on hair.
