After suffering through two seasons of them being broken up and barely interacting, watching my favorite soulmates find their way back to each other in the ’50s was the most satisfying TV storyline of the year for me, and then to have them get that elusive endgame (complete with an adorable little boy played by Vanessa Morgan’s real-life son!) was the greatest gift.”

“I’m thankful for CBS’ Elsbeth. Elsbeth Tascioni has been my favorite recurring character on both The Good Wife and The Good Fight, and I’ve always wanted her to get her own show. Chances are that the character only works as a recurring side character, but I have all the confidence in the world that Carrie Preston will nail this once again. Plus: The Kings are two of the most talented TV writers these days, so how could this go wrong? I’m not just thankful, I’m also very hyped.”

“Shrinking! When I read the logline, I expected a more depressing show. But it was so much more, showing the highs and lows of life after loss. The cast is outstanding, I especially love Christa Miller and Ted McGinley’s marrieds Liz and Derek. Hoping co-creator Brett Goldstein will make a guest appearance in Season 2!”

“This year I am most thankful for friends’ recommendations which led me to become completely obsessed with The Summer I Turned Pretty and its polar opposite Euphoria. “I’m very thankful for NCIS: LA finding a lovely way to include Hetty in its series finale. Her letter to Callen was very beautiful and showed how much she loves her team, plus, hearing Linda Hunt herself read the letter was so touching.”

“Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 6 [“Sunflowers”], but Ted Lasso in general. To Roy Kent learning how to ride a bike (how Brett Goldstein or Phil Dunster did not get hurt filming, I will never know), to the team pillow fight, to Leslie and Will’s walkabout in Amsterdam, to, well, everything, this episode makes me smile.”

“I’m thankful that the writers and actors are back to work! Although I’ve managed to survive the last few months watching quiz, reality and news shows, I miss my dramas on broadcast networks. So I’m most thankful that all my favorite characters and actors will soon be returning to my TV set!”
